Hot Oil Scalp Massage
This is focused treatment of theĀ upper back, neck, shoulders and face. It uses heated oil poured along the hairline and scalp while a deep relaxing massage is applied using various Swedish massage techniques. This treatmentĀ benefits patients suffering from head, neck, jaw and upper back tension, headaches, and migraines. Please note, the hair will be saturated in oil.
Cupping Massage
Incorporating Cupping techniques to a Massage Therapy treatment helps increase circulation and stimulate greater healing within the soft tissues. The therapist applies cups to the skin creating suction, drawing tissues upwards to enhance blood flow, release muscle and fascial tension, promote lymphatic drainage and stimulate healing. Cupping can be used to treat back and neck pain, shoulder pain, frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis), plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, and many others.
Prior to becoming an RMT Melissa Koziolek worked in the environmental consulting industry and holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from York University and Diploma in Ecosystem Management from Fleming College. Her love of nature includes her interest in birding, hiking and travelling. She’ll often head up north to visit her family and spend time at the family cottage in Haliburton. In her spare time Melissa loves spending time learning new languages, reading, going to new restaurants and spending time with her husband and four parrots.
