Assessment

Includes a thorough health intake, review of symptoms, postural analysis, and functional muscle length and strength testing, as well as neurological screening.  This physical exam helps to understand what might be contributing to your pain and determine a diagnosis.

Manual Rehab

Manual Rehab is the foundation of a physiotherapy treatment.  Bringing hands-on manipulation of joints, fascia and muscles to reduce pain, restore mobility, and gain functional strength.  Treatments are provided in private individual treatment rooms.

Dry Needling

IMS (Intramuscular Stimulation) Dry Needing is similar to acupuncture, and can be very helpful to improve shortened muscles and reduce nervous tissue sensitivity contributing to persistent pain.

Concussion

After sustaining a concussion, a full recovery is generally seen after 2-3 weeks. Sometimes, it can take up to a few months. But, for others, symptoms of concussion (headache, dizziness, nausea, fatigue, sleep irregularities, difficulty concentrating and reading, mood disturbance) can persist. A physiotherapist can assess and treat a variety of concussion symptoms.

Vestibular Rehabilitation

Vestibular Dysfunction can arise from hormonal changes, injury, BPPV, or arise spontaneously. Symptoms include dizziness, imbalance, vertigo, nausea, and vomiting. A trained Physiotherapist can identify the part of the semicircular canals that are affected, and use specific positional maneuvers and movements to help calibrate the vestibular system.
