With a Masters in Clinical Psychology and nearly two decades of counselling experience, I am thrilled to support clients from all walks of life. Placing a high priority on empathy and trust within the therapeutic relationship, I approach each session with a spirit of curiosity. By identifying the unique experiences, challenges, and strengths faced by each of my clients, I can confidently move between therapeutic modalities, selecting those that best fit the circumstances of their lives.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist providing therapy for individuals, couples, families and children.

I regularly offer a variety of group therapy progrmas hosted a few times per year. Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) for Adolescents, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) for Adults, and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) for Pain Management. About Alina

I work from an eclectic, client centred, trauma -informed strength-based approach with the goals that the client desires to achieve through therapy. Each and every one of us carries different roles and responsibilities in our lives. From the pursuit of personal and professional goals, to supporting our family and friends, I understand life gets busy!

My approach to psychotherapy focuses on equipping clients with skills and resources to overcome barriers and achieve wellness in all areas of their lives based on their individual goals.

In my early 20s, I suffered a rare heart condition that required open-heart surgery. This was not a near-death experience; I was clinically dead for two hours as my heart was stopped to remove a large tumour. With first-hand experience of trauma, I became deeply motivated to understand the nuances of supporting clients through a trauma-informed lens. This experience also pointed me towards the significance of resilience building and strength-based approaches.

I am a people person. I fill my life with sound, engaging and fulfilling relationships with family, friends and colleagues. In my spare time, I am a full-time mother of an adolescent who pursues swimming as a passion and a competitive sport.

EMDR Therapy Toronto

EMDR therapy is a powerful, yet gentle approach to trauma treatment that is effective for both the emotional and cognitive effects of trauma. It was originally used to treat PTSD, but now the technique is also used to treat anxiety and many other mental health issues. Such as, phobias, depression, emotional pain, grief, post-partum, panic attacks, and stress.
