Jae Steele, RP
Registered Psychotherapist
Jae provides affirming, trauma-informed psychotherapy and counselling for adults and couples with ADHD, AuDHD, autism, complex trauma, anxiety, burnout, relationship challenges and other forms of neurodivergence in Toronto and online. She has a particular interest in supporting those who have ADHD and may also be neurodivergent in other ways—such as autism (AuDHD), twice-exceptionality (2E), or complex trauma (CPTSD). No matter whether these needs were recognized in childhood, identified later through diagnosis, or understood through self-identification, you deserve a therapist who understands and uses an approach that’s validating, collaborative, experiential, flexible, and non-pathologizing. An ADHD-focused Psychotherapist who supports clear communication, meets sensory needs, and helps build embodied awareness. These things can genuinely make a difference.
Jae holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, as well as a graduate certificate in Infant and Early Child Mental Health, and a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Midwifery. She has been providing health care to people in one capacity or another for over 20 years.
Meet Jae, Registered Psychotherapist for ADHD & Neurodivergent Adults in Toronto
In my therapy sessions, I bring curiosity, a sense of possibility, warmth, and genuine relatability. I aim to discern when a moment calls for gentleness or a solid plan, and when it calls for a bit of a laugh. My work is trauma-informed, intersectional, and anti-oppressive. I deeply value identity and community, support diverse genders, sexualities, and relationships, and take a harm-reduction approach that respects multiple recovery pathways. I can help you show up in your life and relationships in a way that feels authentic to you, and make boundaries easier to navigate.
