About Andrew

Andrew strives to learn and better understand his clients. He aims to help you achieve your therapy goals and work together to successfully meet them. Andrew effectively creates a safe space to express concerns, work on behaviour changes, and build on your own growth. He views therapy as a collaborative process working together and allowing his clients to tap into their hidden resources. From there, opportunities for growth can be discovered and potential roadblocks uncovered.

Andrew has experience in:

  • anxiety
  • depression
  • trauma
  • relationship issues
  • grief counselling
  • spirituality
  • parenting struggles
  • and more.

In his work, Andrew draws from modalities such as mindfulness, narrative therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), while using a strengths-based approach. Andrew is personal, empathetic, non-judgmental and culturally sensitive.

Internal Family Systems

Internal Family Systems looks at self and the various “parts” making up self. This evidence-based therapy tool is useful for trauma, anxiety, depression, and self-confidence. The goal is to help organize and understand each part, often helping with a sensation of “falling apart”. IFS uses a blend of traditional narrative and structural modalities.

By learning how each part functions together as a system you’ll be better prepared to identify the roots of conflict, manage any complications arising, and achieve a greater well-being.
